Two vacancies have arisen in our team of Year Leaders, in this vibrant, highly performing and exciting school. One position is a permanent post; the other is for a year’s temporary maternity cover.
As a member of the SLT you will play a pivotal role in continuing the school’s journey to outstanding.
Your year leader responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of excellent staff
- Driving progress through your innovative and dynamic approach to planning and teaching exciting learning opportunities across the curriculum
- Providing an outstanding role model for our confident and enthusiastic children
- Engaging positively with the wider community of the school.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of good and outstanding teaching. You may have experience of leadership in your current role or have a passion for moving forward in your career to a senior leadership role. You must be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that every child in your year group has every opportunity to succeed.
Experience in year 6 is desirable, but not essential. Experience of leading Maths or PE would also be desirable.
Avenue Junior School is a 4 form entry Junior School located in the ‘Golden Triangle’ area of Norwich. We have wonderfully enthusiastic children with a stimulating and creative curriculum with an excellent record of academic achievement.
We are proud to have supportive staff, an active PTA and a strong Governing Body.
This position is not suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers.
