Attendance at school is one of the most important things that we expect from our children
Without regular and punctual attendance children cannot learn. Without regular learning, they will struggle. We want to help avoid this at all cost!
If your child is ill, then obviously we do not expect them to attend school. We do however ask that you contact the school and let us know. If you are unable to do this, you will recieve a phone call or message from us before lunchtime, as we operate a system of ‘first day calling’.
If your child continues to be ill, please contact us on each subsequent day.
We fully understand the need for children to have regular medical and dental check-ups, but we ask that these are made out of school time where possible.
Absence from school for birthdays, haircuts or shopping is not acceptable.
Holidays in term time.
Holidays in term time are actively discouraged by the school and the Local Authority. Please read Guidance Notes for more information.
All requests for holidays in term time must be made at least 10 days in advance of the holiday request time and on the Authorisation Request Form.
